In honor of International Women’s Day, join us for a hike at Gwynns Falls-Leakin Park on Sunday, March 8 at 10 am. Led by Erica Lewis, FOGFLP Board President, alongside other women leaders connected to the park and surrounding communities.
This special gathering celebrates the women who have shaped, protected, and stewarded this landscape across generations. Like Heidi Grundmann who played an instrumental role in protecting the park from the proposed I-70 highway expansion.
Her advocacy was so critical to preserving and protecting this extraordinary green space for Baltimore residents and future generations that we named the Heide Trail for her. And that trail will be a key part of our route.
This hike is about movement, memory, and momentum. We will be honoring the women who protected this park and uplifting the women leading it forward today.
We’re excited to partner with REI to offer special discounts and insider perks for women participating in the hike. Registered participants will receive an exclusive REI offer designed to support your outdoor adventures.*
