Friends of Gwynns falls leakin park |
The country's 2nd largest woodland needs your help |
Gwynns Falls / Leakin Park covers nearly 1,000 acres of forest, trails, streams, and history in the middle of Baltimore. These extraordinary natural and historic assets require consistent stewardship.
Check out these opportunities to help us with maintenance, beautification, and safety improvements. Our goal is to create an environment that residents are proud to visit and volunteers are excited to care for.
Why volunteer with usEvery week, FOGFLP volunteers do the work that keeps this park alive: clearing invasive vines off native trees, tending the herb garden at Winans Chapel, greeting Sunday visitors, and hauling out the trash people leave behind. None of it happens without you. No experience needed — just sturdy shoes and a willingness to spend time outside. |
Trail Work CrewEvery Tuesday 9–11 AM | Herb Garden TeamEvery 3rd Saturday 8–11 AM |
Second SundaysEvery 2nd Sunday April - November | Trash CleanupsPeriodically Sadly,
there’s no end to the trash that people leave in the park. We pick the spot that needs the most love, and get out there and clean it up together. |
